This is a workshop for those who want an introduction to the Python programming language and the technology surrounding it. During the workshop, we will cover some of the basics in Python and its standard library, discuss the meaning of the word "Pythonic" and familiarise ourselves with the classical pitfalls and mistakes that may come along while learning Python.
We will present some of the new features in Python 3 and how to use the Python documentation and package manager. Finally we will give a short tour and introduction to the popular web framework django.
